The Norwegian Coastal Cleanup pilot project 2011 confirmed former reports that plastic products are major contributors to marine littering. The conference will therefore especially address the issue of plastics in the marine environment and also highlight initiatives by the plastics industry.
Marine littering has no borders - at this conference we have thus invited international speakers representing a global, European, Nordic and also Norwegian approaches to the issue. English will be the language of the seminar.
The aim of the conference is to point out strategies and solutions and inspire all stakeholder to join forces for further actions. Can we agree on five major actions in Oslo?
